Over the summer, I decided to start going through my travel photos taken over the years and explore the process of making them into fine art prints. I plan to print them locally here in Ottawa, Canada (our current home) to send out to others who are seeking to add a bit of colour–and perhaps adventure–to their home and/or work space walls. A portion of sales will go to organizations which help others settle and find a home, when they are without one.
Secret to sanity: We play a lot in the snow. And by play, I mean, the kids wander around the yard and driveway during the daytime as I attempt to shovel at warp speed before they get bored and venture too close to the road.
I’ve been thinking a lot about honouring my ancestors lately and in particular, how I can honour my grandmothers. I know I am fortunate and not every woman has access to the same opportunities.
Regardless of omens and signs, with all of the news lately about the multiple bushfires, heatwaves and evacuations, the country and our friends are in our thoughts a lot.

One thing I know about my past experiences with manifesting is you can’t predict how quickly or slowly it will happen, you need to be careful what you wish for and you need to be ready when it arrives.
I started this blog in June 2013 while I was living and working in Brisbane, Australia before my husband and I relocated to Europe for a little over three years to live in Ireland and England, start our family and then relocate to Canada. Along the way, I was–sometimes knowingly, oftentimes not–testing business ideas, writing books and building community.
