I’ve been making more time for beauty and joy, creating for the sake of it in 2021. Focusing on drawing and painting flowers, buds and plants from places I’ve lived (Brisbane > Kildare > Galway > London) as part of a ‘Waiting For Spring’ series.
Making Space For New Creations
Over the summer, I decided to start going through my travel photos taken over the years and explore the process of making them into fine art prints. I plan to print them locally here in Ottawa, Canada (our current home) to send out to others who are seeking to add a bit of colour–and perhaps adventure–to their home and/or work space walls. A portion of sales will go to organizations which help others settle and find a home, when they are without one.
How I’m getting through this long-ass winter
Secret to sanity: We play a lot in the snow. And by play, I mean, the kids wander around the yard and driveway during the daytime as I attempt to shovel at warp speed before they get bored and venture too close to the road.
