Creating Floral Art For Joy

I’ve been making more time for beauty and joy, creating for the sake of it in 2021.

Focusing on drawing and painting flowers, buds and plants from places I’ve lived (Brisbane > Kildare > Galway > London) as part of a ‘Waiting For Spring’ series.

Think Tulips, Hydrangeas, Carnations, Jacarandas Peonies, Heather, Rhododendrons, and friends tell me this bold, red bloom from Australia is a Waratah.

The snow rarely touches those places and as it melts very slooooowly in Ottawa, I’m counting down the days until we can lay on the grass, soak up more sun and (some day) travel again. 🌿
