I’m not commuting anywhere, meeting in person at coworking spaces or hosting parent-friendly meetups (yet) but it’s amazing what you can do with an internet connection while babywearing these days.
I’m almost halfway through the fourth trimester and trying to relax as much as I can. We’ve all been home for most of January, everyone is well thanks to help from family and friends and we’re getting used to our new routines.
This Season has been a bit unique for me, as it’s the first time I’ve been pregnant while podcasting. I’ve spent the entire time planning it, booking in guests, recording interviews, editing, producing and promoting episodes throughout each trimester – I am nearing the final weeks and am preparing to wrap it up for now.
As I get ready to sloooow it down and go through the final weeks of this pregnancy, I am reminiscing about all of the places we’ve been and things we’ve explored both before and after becoming parents, in England and Canada.
I’ve always snapped photos of everyday things in the places we’ve lived and shared them mostly on this blog or social media. It feels nice to capture moments in time and connects me to the places I explore. If it brings me delight and joy, then perhaps others will find some too?
My work from home uniform for the rest of 2021: Surrounded by cords and crystals as I produce Season 3 of the Mixing Babies And Business™ Podcast. It’s getting harder to fit this belly behind the microphone but I wrapped up my final interview of Season 3 in October.
I didn’t know this is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. This kid is a rainbow baby and I’ve spent most of the past 6 months in disbelief, getting sick, then believing but also not being so sure how things will go on the other side.
My oldest kid made a cameo during Q&A and we were all presenting during the late afternoon / evening routines from different timezones, there were some great takeaways and different points that apply to both parenthood and entrepreneurship.
Pitching with a newborn -> then toddlers -> remote school age kids, has become a skill over time. I’ve been asked to speak at a couple of upcoming events this Fall and have done a roundup of the confirmed dates so far.
