The Importance Of Talking To Strangers

A note about making connections: At home and abroad. Back in March 2010, I met my Irish husband in Canada before flying out to Australia a few months later.

Art x Advocacy: Decorate Your Home While Supporting Women And Children In Transition

The London Collection features original photography of popular city sights, cheerful doorways and rainbow rows of terraced homes taken during our time living in North West London, England, where we had our first son. Add a burst of colour and raise the vibration in your home, while contributing to providing a safe space for women and children in need. With every order, a portion goes toward supporting organizations with a mission to provide housing and support to those in transition.

Making Space For New Creations

Over the summer, I decided to start going through my travel photos taken over the years and explore the process of making them into fine art prints. I plan to print them locally here in Ottawa, Canada (our current home) to send out to others who are seeking to add a bit of colour–and perhaps adventure–to their home and/or work space walls. A portion of sales will go to organizations which help others settle and find a home, when they are without one.

Tapping Into My Intuition

Call it self-care, personal development, life or business planning…I call it getting back in touch with yourself and listening to the inner voice we so often question or silence completely. I use my experiences, storytelling and intuition to help others with self reflection.

New Course On Startup Blogging: Validate Your Business Idea

It is based on the three-hour workshop I delivered for WordCamp Ottawa last weekend but will go into more detail, focusing primarily on idea validation, with the added benefits of weekly accountability, templates and resources, a bit of virtual community, a sprinkling of positive vibes (always) and gentle bum kicking (or motivation if you wish). I am really happy with the feedback on the content and my presenter style…5 out of 5 ***** from session attendees, lots of interaction throughout the live workshop and many staying on afterwards to have a chat with me and discuss their ideas.

Speaking At WordCamp Ottawa 2019 About Startup Blogging, Validating Business Ideas, Writing Books and Building Community

I started this blog in June 2013 while I was living and working in Brisbane, Australia before my husband and I relocated to Europe for a little over three years to live in Ireland and England, start our family and then relocate to Canada. Along the way, I was–sometimes knowingly, oftentimes not–testing business ideas, writing books and building community.

Chance encounters: New York, Ireland and up in the air

Follow my blog with Bloglovin Part of this blog is meant to highlight the fact I often find myself engaged in conversation with complete strangers.
