Lessons from the L-SPARK Female Founders and Funders Event

Yesterday I attended L-SPARK’s Female Founders and Funders event, along with 200+ other women and men, who were seeking local inspiration and insights during a sunny spring afternoon. The event featured opening remarks from: Erin Blaskie (@ErinBlaskie), Director of Marketing at L-SPARK Solange Tuyishime (@MissSolange), UNICEF Canada Ambassador, President of Elevate International and former MissContinue reading “Lessons from the L-SPARK Female Founders and Funders Event”

What am I writing about?

The major life milestones you face in your 20s and 30s: financial literacy and lessons learned from my expat adventures over the past decade.

We took our friends around the village we live in inContinue reading “Mid-March mayhem”

A day at the Races

Mind you, the fact I’ve never been to Victoria or Flemington Racecourse during Melbourne Cup Carnival never stops me from getting into the spirit! We had morning tea and lunch at work, where we entered the ‘sweeps’ and I even madeContinue reading “A day at the Races”

Coffee culture

Yesterday I did something I’ve been meaning to do for a while, especially since moving to Australia. I learned how to make coffee. Not just instant, filtered or drip coffee you can get in a diner or fast food joint. I learned how to make proper espresso. I took a course at Merlo Coffee inContinue reading “Coffee culture”
