Livestreaming between Ireland and Canada

Amy Maureen Lynch Notes From Another Land ICCCOTT Pan Can Ireland Chambers Event

Creating connections across Canada and the Atlantic

This week I had the opportunity to manage an event for the Pan Can Ireland Chambers of Commerce, featuring Minister Simon Coveney TD joining us from Ireland and Ambassador Eamonn McKee joining us from the Irish Embassy in Ottawa, Canada.

Jackie Gilna, Pan Can Chair and ICCCOTT President, moderated the discussion and event production volunteer Keith Ward created brilliant opening videos to launch the event.

We had guests logging on from across Canada, Ireland, the UK and US.

Thanks to modern technology, I could livestream from my home office in Ottawa across multiple countries in real time, facilitate chat with attendees and live Tweet, while Nana looked after my two kids at home.

This effort was collaborative, organized from start to finish 100 per cent remotely across time zones and was our largest online event of 2021.

I’ve been hosting webinars for nearly a decade now, from Velg Training and the Commonwealth Government in Australia to building Mixing Babies And Business™ in Canada and I truly believe the future of work (and democracy and fair stakeholder engagement) is through the provision of opportunities where people can participate and access timely information regardless of their location.

Above photo is of my home desk setup, complete with a scone, crystals from Green Spirit (of course) and some other good luck charms for the live event.

Visit ICCCOTT’s social media accounts for the replay if you’re keen, future events are planned quarterly. 🇨🇦🇮🇪

More things like this coming soon from Mixing Babies And Business as well, this week Startup Canada announced they’re onboarding my initiative as part of their Startup Canada Communities platform! 🎉

Take care,
– Amy (+ Family)
